It was a beautiful scene to awaken to on Monday, February 15th. In Houston, TX, snow is a rarity! In fact, the news had been preparing us for the coldest storm in Texas history. But little did we know...
Despite the weather forecast for an icy forecast with temps dropping into the teens, many were not prepared! It was unprecedent!
The report of several deaths meant grief and mourning on top of the natural disaster--icy roads, frozen pipes, power outages and boil water alerts.
I was without power for four (4) days, but the consolation came from the invisible fire within despite the cold without. This experience was a "wake up" call! Preparation is critical in these times. Meteorologists gave warning, but that was not enough. Many were not prepare, even I did not prepare well enough. We have been warned about the return of Jesus Christ, will we be prepared.
Still, I am grateful for the invisible fire of God's Spirit burning within that kept my soul anchored in hope; that my emotions did not override the negative thoughts that shot like arrows in my mind.
Now, my questions to you my beloved...how are you doing? I know that wherever you live, you have faced difficulties. The pandemic is still challenging many physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. So, let me know if you're holding fast to your confession of faith.
Remember, God is faithful to keep His promises! You are royalty!
Love,
Queen E. Phillips
